What is a Designated Body?
A Designated Body is an organisation with responsibility for supporting the appraisal and revalidation of the doctors connected to it.
Some organisations are designated automatically under the Responsible Officer Regulations, while others become eligible once they have a prescribed connection with at least one doctor through employment or contract.

We assess your organisation and review its position under the Regulations.
Apply
If eligible, we prepare and submit your Designated Body application to the GMC.
Appoint
We appoint your Responsible Officer and implement the required governance and revalidation processes.
